Practical business automation

Make the systems you already use work better together.

JAMES Process Automation helps businesses reduce repetitive admin, connect existing tools and simplify inefficient processes — using automation, AI and software only where they genuinely add value.

Fix the process first.
Choose the technology second.

I don't sell one piece of software and try to make every problem fit it. The aim is to understand how the process operates today, identify where time is being lost or effort duplicated, and then use the right tools to improve it.

01

Reduce repetitive admin

Remove routine manual work that consumes time without adding much value.

This might include data entry, document handling, notifications, repetitive checking, copying information between systems or manually routing work to the right person.
02

Connect existing systems

Help the software you already use exchange information more effectively.

Email, spreadsheets, CRM systems, accounting software, forms, databases and specialist platforms can often work together instead of relying on somebody to bridge the gaps manually.
03

Improve existing workflows

Find bottlenecks, unnecessary steps and duplicated effort.

Sometimes the best improvement isn't a new system at all. It can be simplifying the existing process and automating only the steps that genuinely benefit from it.
04

Use AI where it helps

Apply AI to the parts of a process where interpretation is genuinely useful.

AI can help with messy human input, classification, document extraction and interpretation. Clear business rules and repeatable logic are often better handled without it.
05

Implement existing products

Use established software where it already solves the problem well.

If an existing product already solves most of the problem, rebuilding it makes little sense. I can help identify, configure and connect the right solution instead.
06

Build around your business

Fill the gaps where off-the-shelf products stop short.

Where systems don't quite meet, tailored automation can connect the remaining steps and create a process that fits the way your business actually operates.

Start with the bottleneck.

You don't need to know what software you need or arrive with a technical specification. Tell me where the process slows down, where people repeat work or where time disappears. We can work backwards from there.

01
Understand

Walk through the current process, the systems involved and where the friction or bottlenecks sit.

02
Assess

Work out what is actually worth improving, what can be automated and whether an existing product already solves part or all of the problem.

03
Build

Configure, connect or create the solution using the tools that make sense for the business.

04
Test & hand over

Test the workflow, handle exceptions, make sure it behaves reliably and leave you with something you can actually use.

No magic software. No unnecessary technology.

Just practical improvements that reduce waste and dead time, simplify the work and give your team more time to focus on what actually matters.

Engineering thinking applied to business processes.

I'm James, the person behind JAMES Process Automation.

I have a degree in engineering and around 12 years of engineering experience, with a background spanning hands-on fault finding, maintenance, reliability engineering, continuous improvement and engineering leadership.

Engineering teaches you to look at a system as a whole: understand the inputs, follow the process, identify failure points, find bottlenecks and losses, strengthen weak points and remove unnecessary complexity.

That same way of thinking applies remarkably well to business processes.

JAMES Process Automation brings that engineering mindset into the way businesses handle information, admin and repetitive work — using automation, AI and existing software where they genuinely improve the process.

Tell me about the process your team hates doing.

You don't need to send me a technical specification or explain everything in an email. If something is repetitive, manual or frustrating, get in touch and we'll have a straightforward conversation about how it works and whether there's a sensible way to improve it.
